LED Flash Light
Note that this project has been
discontinued and terminated due to a faulty battery holder. One battery was
shorting itself making the battery extremely hot. I have deemed it unsafe and it
has been DESTROYED!. (not literally)
| I've decided to waste my time and make an LED Flash Light. Equipment: 2x AA 1x Battery Holder 1x LED 1x Push-to-Make switch 1x Resistor |

| Looking around the school, I got my hands on a 2x AA battery holder. I placed two AA batteries in it. With the positive lead of the combined 3V's I connected it up to a push to make switch. I desoldered a push to make switch off Prateek's VCR panel. On the other end of the switch, I connected it upto an LED. The negative leg of the LED was then connected to the -ve end of the 3V's. This worked perfectly, until I used Ultra Bright LEDs in the circuit. Replacing the 15mCd LED with a 6000mCd required me to put in a resistor of some sort. Without one, the Ulrea Bright LED would get disturbingly hot over time. In the end I found out that a 39ohm resistor would do the trick. |
